DID YOU KNOW?
- The average person, engaging in non-strenuous activity, walks approximately 8 kilometers every day and about 185000 kilometers in a lifetime.
- More than 70% of all people in Canada will have painful foot problems at some point during their lifetime.
- Foot care is much more than a pampering treatment to help you feel good - it is an important issue; the earlier we start proper foot care practices the better.
The importance of footcare:
- Taking care of your feet is as important as looking after your teeth.
- Wear comfortable shoes during all daily activity.
- Diabetes can significantly impact the health of your feet.
- Treat minor injuries, such as blisters or sprains, with appropriate products and consult a health care professional for the answers to all your questions.
Dry, cracked heels are a common foot care problem that is often referred to as heel fissures. Cracked heels are commonly caused by dry skin (xerosis), and made more complicated if the skin around the rim of the heel is thick (callus).
Regular foot care can help keep feet in optimum condition. Avoid open backed or thin soled shoes, buy shoes with a good shock absorbing sole and never try to pare down the hard skin yourself with a razor blade or pair of scissors.
We are pleased to offer a product that produces excellent results when dealing with thick dry skin.
